Dusk - Chapter One - Misery (Part Three)

Mr. Connor held us each one piece of blank paper. I imagined there was a tiny little monster crawling on my hand, edging towards the paper. It was cute, its violet skin matched my eye color perfectly. It jumped on the sheet of paper, and began chewing on it. CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP. I frowned in disgust. How can a small little cute monster eat papers? And speaking of the way it eats, I saw its razor-sharp teeth, so scary like its going to tear my skin off.
It crawled towards my hands now, and without any awareness, it bit my finger. But, there is no blood oozing out from the wound. And yet, I feel no pain, as if it did not bite me before.
"Carlie Marine! Daydreaming again?" Mr. Connor shouted, eyes bulging widely, that I could call it as a glare. Almost everyone stared at me, and that really makes me blush, my cheeks burning with embarrasment.
"Yeah?" I stammered with fear, so scared that Mr. Connor the Frightening Monster will like to have me stay for detention.
"Well, as I was saying..." he continued, and kept on nagging and nagging till I have a feel that he was my dad, too.
Hours passed, and I'm still imagining about the monster thing. Okay, guess I'm just a freak. Mr. Connor kept on explaining about the formulas which I do not know. I teared a piece of paper in my notebook, and started doodling idly on it - maybe I did not like Trig at all, or maybe I do not like Mr. Connor the monster. He gave me detention once, because I was in the situation like now, unable to listen to his frustrating voice, well, literally. By now, I can't concentrate. My mind is spinning, as if I just sat in the spinner. I felt dizzy again, so I raised my hand and pressed Mr. Connor that I really have to go to the ladies'.
